How Fiverr Fees Work
Fiverr charges sellers a straightforward 20% service fee on all earnings. This fee is automatically deducted from every completed order.
The 20% Service Fee
For every order you complete on Fiverr, the platform keeps 20% and you receive 80%. For example, if you charge $100 for a gig, Fiverr takes $20 and you keep $80.
What About Tips?
Fiverr also takes 20% of any tips you receive from buyers. So if a buyer tips you $10, you'll keep $8.
Gig Extras and Upsells
The 20% fee applies to all earnings including gig extras and upsells. If a buyer adds a $50 extra to your gig, Fiverr takes $10 from that extra.
Tips to Maximize Profit
- Price your gigs 25% higher than your target take-home to account for the 20% fee
- Offer gig extras and packages to increase your average order value
- Focus on repeat clients to reduce the time spent on marketing
